About the Contest
The Investigative Genetic Genealogy Association (IGGA) is inviting members of our community — designers and non-designers alike — to participate in the creation of our official logo.
This mark will represent IGGA across digital platforms, educational materials, events, and communications. It will become part of IGGA’s founding identity.

How to Submit
- Upload your logo design
- Include your name and contact information
- Include a brief description of your concept
File types:
AI, EPS, or SVG (preferred), plus PNG (transparent background)

Design Tips & Quick Check
Before submitting, take a moment to check:
- Is it recognizable at very small sizes (around 40px)?
- Is it easy to read on a mobile phone?
- Would it work as a simple icon or profile image?
- Are the lines and shapes clear — not too thin or detailed?
- Does it still work in black and white?
Strong designs tend to be:
- Simple
- Clear
- Scalable
Designs may struggle when they:
- Include too much detail
- Rely heavily on color or effects
- Use hard-to-read typography
- Do not scale well to smaller formats

- All design submissions become the property of IGGA
- Submissions must be original work
- Designs must be suitable for digital and print use
- No unlicensed or restricted-use elements may be included
- IGGA may refine the selected design to ensure usability
- IGGA reserves the right not to select a winning design
